HR Intern
HR Intern assists with recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll support, and HR administrative tasks to gain practical experience in human resources operations.
Role summary
As an HR Intern, you'll dive into the heart of people management by helping with everyday tasks like posting job ads, screening resumes, and setting up new hires for success. You'll also lend a hand with things like updating employee records, organizing training sessions, and supporting team events to keep everyone happy and productive. It's a great entry point to learn the ropes of HR in a real-world setting, building skills in communication and organization along the way.
Responsibilities
- Assist in recruitment by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and posting job ads on various platforms.
- Support onboarding new employees through orientation, paperwork, and database updates for records and contact details.
- Handle administrative tasks like gathering payroll data, answering employee inquiries, and organizing HR events or training sessions.
- Ensure compliance by checking policies, updating employee files, and helping with reports on budgets or feedback surveys.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with HR software like HRIS or ATS is a plus, along with basic knowledge of labor laws.
Nice to have
- Experience with social media recruitment tools or applicant tracking systems (ATS) to streamline hiring processes.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis using Excel for HR metrics and reporting.
